This November, Hog Roast Solva catered for a brilliant fireworks display at a local community centre. The event takes place every year and always includes an amazing fireworks show, a huge bonfire, great food, and lots of hot drinks to keep everyone warm. For the last few years, Hog Roast Solva has catered for the occasion and our menu always goes down a treat. There is nothing better than a hog roast on a cold evening, so it is no surprise that we keep getting invited back!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Solva team arrived at the venue in the afternoon and began preparing our menu for the 7:00pm serving time. We started by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around six hours. Once ready, the succulent pork was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we will also be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious veggie alternative to pork. Additionally, we will be serving homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of salad dishes, which will help to create the perfect evening meal. Our menu was a great addition to the event and it was great to see so many guests enjoying our menu. Overall, the evening was a great success with the biggest turnout yet, including lots of friendly locals. Our team had a great time serving the catering and we hope to be back again in 2025!
