For Maria and Sam’s wedding, the pair wanted to make the most of the good weather with an outdoor ceremony, followed by a beautiful reception on Maria’s family farm. The reception will take place in a marquee placed in the courtyard, decorated with a wonderful botanical theme and plenty of fairy lights. For the catering, the Hog Roast Bosherston team has been hired to serve our alfresco menu, as it is a perfect fit with the theme of this reception and is sure to go down a treat with the 50 guests.
In preparation for this event, our menu will begin with delicious sharing platters for the starter, consisting of gourmet cheeses and meats, creating a delicious antipasti course. This is an ideal way to start the menu as it allows guests to graze and enjoy a variety of tastes and textures before the hearty main meal.
For the main course, we will be serving a delicious slow-roasted hog accompanied by a selection of traditional trimmings. The menu will include sliced pork, seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes, sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Altogether, this will create a varied and nutritious main meal, with plenty for every guest to enjoy.
