Roaring On To The First Six Nations Win With Hog Roast Solva’s Winning Catering

Hog Roast SolvaIt’s officially February which means it is officially time for the Six Nations Rugby Union Championship. The historic tournaments sees the Home Nations and Italy and France go head-to-head in an incredible Rugby tournament, and after all the excitement of the Rugby World cup late last year we at Hog Roast Solva can’t wait to see how this one unfolds. With the Six Nations, we are back to provide some more champions-worthy catering for every Scotland match over the next few weeks.

The first weekend of Six Nations action has already got the tournament off to a flyer, and Hog Roast Solva were delighted to see it all. We were invited out to join a local rugby club for their watch event for Scotland’s first game in the tournament. Wales looked to be formidable foes, just as our massive spread of roast delights looked to be a formidable buffet for the local rugby lads and their friends, but they, like Scotland, made swift work of all of it.

Hog Roast SolvaScotland came roaring out with an incredible first 43 minutes of action, flying to a 27-point lead to zero, but, as is so often the case with our Scottish teams, the lads made it harder on themselves than needed. All the hard work of the first half had to be met doubly so to hold off the oncoming Wales assault and retain the lead, and though it came nail-bitingly close, they held – just. There aren’t many matches better to kick-off a tournament, and it only made our catering look all the more important since no one at our watch event could take their eyes of the match. Thankfully, our Hog Roast Solva team were on hand to keep dishing out the foods so that no one had to miss a second.

With the release of stress and relief at the final whistle, the Hog Roast Solva helped to usher in the celebrations with even more catering goodness, including deserts and drinks to toast to a fine, but hard, win.
